Seidel Planning & Design represented a national grocery chain for the development of a new Malvern facility in East Whiteland Township! Seidel Planning provided coordination with the project team and Township staff to provide an interpretation of sign regulations and support the variance request to exceed the Township’s impervious cover regulations. The SPD team prepared aerial photographs illustrating site context, and a zoning overlay to illustrate the unique zoning characteristics of the subject property.
Land use planning testimony compared the unique zoning of the subject parcel to adjacent parcels which allow increased impervious cover comparable to the project & addressed consistency of the project with the Township’s Comprehensive Plan by ‘enabling redevelopment and flexible development patterns to attract residents and businesses, and effectively use existing infrastructure’.
