    The landscape architects at Seidel Planning prepared landscape plans to accompany a land use application in Newlin Township, Chester County. Plans were prepared to address screening of adjacent properties & roadways, minimize site disturbance, preserve wetland & floodplain buffers, and enhance the natural landscape with native vegetation.
  • 3/8/2021 - Use variances approved in Somers Point, NJ!
    Brian Seidel, NJPP, AICP provided land use planning testimony to obtain D3 conditional use variance approval for small-cell wireless telecommunications facilities in Atlantic County. The highlights of Mr. Seidel’s testimony included the intent of the land use regulations addressed by the applicant, and the existing zoning regulations did not contemplate the relatively new, discrete technology.

    A telecommunications application received approval in Smithfield Township, Monroe County, PA. The application was accompanied by a land use assessment, a viewshed analysis, and graphic exhibits prepared by Seidel Planning & Design to obtain the approval.

    Seidel Planning & Design prepared multiple site design concepts to assess the potential commercial development of properties in West Whiteland Township, Chester County. Plans illustrated the limited opportunity to develop an individual parcel, and the expanded opportunity presented with the acquisition & consolidation of adjacent properties.

The graphic exhibits illustrate the landscaping buffers, building styles, & building material options, and will support the required land development applications & marketing materials for the developer.

The graphics were reviewed with the surrounding property owners to obtain recommendations for screening methods & plant species. 
  • 1/7/2021 - Commercial landscape plans receive Township approval!
    The landscape architects at Seidel Planning prepared landscape plans to accompany the land development application & requested waivers for a multi-tenant commercial building in Hatfield Township, Montgomery County. The plan provided parking lot buffers, street trees, & replacement plantings to meet the intent of the Township’s zoning & land development regulations.
